Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to Development Manager, Macau, the incumbent will plan, organize and implement strategies to manage and expand the individual donor segment with the goal of generating sustainable funds for Orbis. Other duties include managing various donor acquisition and retention campaigns, as well as exploring for new fundraising opportunities. Revenue maximization, maintaining good donor relations and enhancement of Orbis’s image in Macau are all important objectives for this job.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plan, organize and implement fundraising strategies that aimed at acquiring and retaining individual donors, including direct marketing, Orbis Friends and Kids Sight Friends monthly donation programs and online fundraising.
  2. Support donor-initiated fundraising activities and explore new fundraising opportunities for Orbis.
  3. Liaise with vendors and in-house relevant departments to coordinate and manage the production of fundraising materials. Ensure all fundraising activities are administrated in a timely, high-quality manner and within budget.
  4. Investigate and understand individual donors’ giving patterns and factors. Undertake research on donors to help determine effective fundraising plans.
  5. Implement approved school program to promote eye care to students as well as to raise sustainable funds for Orbis
  6. Manage the production of eye care booklets and other eye health education materials
  7. Prepare budget, cost analysis, and campaign evaluations for assigned fundraising activities.
  8. Handle donation transactions, provide services to donors and maintain good donor relations.
  9. Work closely with Orbis’s other offices to coordinate fundraising activities and assist in various fundraising projects when needed.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree majoring in business / marketing or social sciences
  • At least 3 years of solid experience in marketing or fundraising in Macau, with demonstrated success in securing income
  • Proven experience in both digital and direct marketing, and customer relationship
  • Macau ID Holder is a MUST

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to motivate others
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably Mandarin
  • A good team player with high degree of responsibility and integrity
  • Good problem-solving skill and able to work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to organize and prioritize work under pressure
  • Self motivated, creative, energetic and willing to work overtime
  • Enthusiastic and passionate to develop one’s career with a charity organization
