Casetify is looking for a Legal Manager / Counsel with solid in-house legal experience to join the team. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer, the incumbent will have to provide general legal support to the daily operation of the Company, mainly in but not limited to commerce and intellectual property aspects.

THE JOB

• Review, prepare, edit and handle corporate legal agreements, contracts, documents, reports, correspondences, litigation, arbitration and proceedings
• Advise on legal / regulatory issues across multiple jurisdictions
• Conduct legal / regulatory research related to areas such as corporate, commerce and products
• Coordinate with internal / external interfaces in relation to the legal aspects / regulatory affairs
• Handle applications/disputes related to intellectual property the company such as trademark and patent
• Raise awareness of legal risk issues within the business and develop relevant policies and standards
• Perform company secretary work such as drafting/reviewing minutes and resolutions
• Assist with adhoc duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer

THE QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualified lawyer from Common Law jurisdictions
• 3-5 years post-qualified legal experience, preferably in-house experience in a commercial setting (experience in global consumer product industry preferred)
• Solid knowledge in corporate/commercial/intellectual property laws of Hong Kong (exposure in relevant sectors of the laws of United States will be a big plus)
• Strong commercial awareness, understanding of services, corporate governance and regulatory issues
• Proficient with computers, spoken and written Chinese and English
• Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, responsible, committed, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Flexible team player, strategic thinker, solutions-oriented problem solver
