Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Legal Counsel (Disciplinary Proceedings), the incumbent is responsible for following:
- Scrutinize and prepare disciplinary cases for submission to the Disciplinary Committee of the Authority
- Provide analysis on evidence to facilitate disposal of disciplinary cases
- Present cases at disciplinary inquiry hearings conducted by the Disciplinary Committee
- Supervise and coach staff members to carry out the disciplinary proceedings function
- Assist the Section Head in the management of the Disciplinary Proceedings Section
- Perform such other duties as may from time to time be assigned
Requirements
- A recognized university degree in Law
- At least 5 years' relevant experience in prosecution / litigation / law-related practice (or 3 years' post-qualification experience of a recognized profession), preferably 3 years of which at supervisory level
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Preferably attained Grade “C” or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in HKCEE, or Level 4 or above in HKDSE, or equivalent)
- Qualified legal practitioner, legal executive in litigation, or court/tribunal prosecutor preferred
- Good written and verbal presentation skill
Terms of Appointment
Competitive remuneration package commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointee will initially be offered a 3-year contract, subject
to renewal upon satisfactory performance and the service needs of the Authority.
