Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out compliance inspections and law enforcement activities under the Estate Agents Ordinance
- Handle public / trade enquiries and conduct follow-up actions / checks / site visits
- Conduct investigation into suspected non-compliant cases, including fact-finding, conducting interviews and statement-taking
- Write up investigation reports
- Perform such other duties as may from time to time be assigned
Requirements
- A recognized university degree (candidates with solid relevant experience, at least 8 years, may be exempted from this requirement)
- At least 2 years’ relevant working experience
- Experience in regulatory work / conveyancing / litigation / law enforcement / complaint investigation will be an added advantage
- Good analytical and communication skills and be able to handle cases independently
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Preferably attained Grade “C” or above in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in HKCEE, or Level 4 or above in HKDSE, or equivalent)
- Good report writing skills
- A team player with a mature personality and good interpersonal skills
- Outdoor duties at irregular hours and on weekends, Sundays and public holidays, are required
Terms of Appointment
Competitive remuneration package commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointee will initially be offered a 3-year contract,
subject to renewal upon satisfactory performance and the service needs of the Authority.
The appointee may be subject to job rotation to the Complaints Team.
