Pinkoi, leading online marketplace for unique and original design goods in Asia, is looking for an Account Manager (Designer Relations) based in Hong Kong.

Location: Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong

Responsibilities

1. Invite quality brands with potential from Hong Kong and Macau to join Pinkoi in accordance with market trends and company direction. Help designers to grow their brands, scale up and internationalize.
2. Explore and expand the diversity of brands and products on Pinkoi to increase company competitiveness.
3. Engage with designers to increase Pinkoi’s brand awareness and revenue.
4. Find the threads that connect Pinkoi and potential partners for purposes of closing strategic/commercial deals and/or building potential partnership networks for Pinkoi.
5. Create and sustain designer relationships by negotiating partnership terms, promotional offers, etc.
6. Keep a close eye on the current sales of brands from Hong Kong and Macau. Understand the needs of designers and provide timely recommendations through seminars and meet-ups in order to help improve shop performance.

Essential

1. Passion for local/overseas design and e-commerce.
2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
3. Self-starter, energetic and well-organized with a strong sense of responsibility.
4. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills along with strong business acumen.
5. Ability to communicate and work effectively as a team player in a multicultural environment.
6. Familiar with working at startups. Excited to take up new challenges.
7. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin would be a plus.
8. Have a good understanding of Pinkoi, our style and our positioning. Confident in ability to successfully invite suitable brands to join Pinkoi.

Highly desirable

1. Experience in e-commerce / account management in the FMCG or retail industry.
2. Follows creative and cultural trends with interest and has a network in the design industry.
3. Familiar with shopping done online and via mobile apps. Ability to clearly observe and understand e-commerce industry trends.
4. Good with numbers. Ability to evaluate project effectiveness using data.
