Job Description
We are looking for an experienced CFO to manage effective investor relations, perform risk management and plan the organization’s financial strategy for a US NASDAQ-listed biopharmaceutical company with few hundred millions in USD market cap. The company focuses on the acquisition, development and commercialization of therapeutics addressing cancer and other unmet medical needs. Headquartered in Beijing with over 100 employees, the company develops and commercializes the oncology drugs and drug candidates in this region.
The CFO will be one of the company’s top 4 executives and have the following responsibilities:
- Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO, President and members of the executive management team
- Advising the executive committee on long-term business and financial planning
- Control and evaluate the organizations fundraising plans and capital structure
- Establishing and developing relations with investors, senior management and external partners and stakeholders
- Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
- Managing the processes for SEC filing, financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
Role’s qualification and requirements:
- Proven experience as CFO or relevant role in a publicly traded company
- Prior experience in one of the big 4 accounting firms is a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- An MBA or CPA is highly desirable
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
