Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business process improvement strategies around complex business initiatives by utilising proven methodologies and techniques
  • Align process improvement initiatives with business needs by understanding objectives and strategy of affected departments (including Policy Admin, UW and Claims) to ensure projects are timely, cost-efficient and within scope of objectives
  • Ensure long term effectiveness of process improvements by establishing, monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators and developing best practices and procedures to align with established business objectives
  • Analyse and improve current processes by establishing and evaluating metrics and identifying gaps to recommend opportunities for translating department strategy into actionable project plans
  • Identify and recommend business re-engineering plans by leveraging technology to achieve business process automation including RPA, Chatbot, OCR, Machine Learning, etc.
  • Deliver ongoing and final project reports by reviewing key performance indicators, summarizing information and communicating to key stakeholders to inform on effectiveness and share opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility
  • Contribute to a positive environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value “can do” people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in executing business process improvement initiatives including but not limited to end-to-end project lifecycle management, business process management, business process automation and operational excellence
  • Experience working on enterprise-wide initiatives for complex, global organizations at regional scale
  • Insurance industry knowledge (e.g. claims, policy admin, insurance systems and general insurance products)
  • Knowledge of project management skills and use of project management practices, tools & methodologies
  • Understand the latest technology for business process automation
  • Qualification of Agile, Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean or PMP is an advantage
