Auditing Officer (Sustainability/Social/Environmental)

The Role

The Auditing Officer is based in Hong Kong to support the Auditing department in daily activities (Job title may be adjusted according to the profile of the selected candidate).

This role reports directly to the Network Representative Greater China and is part of the team of amfori Greater China team based in Hong Kong office. 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Audit quality in Greater China and occasional support to auditing quality related matters when needed
• Implement and coordinate the audit quality programme / strategy defined by the amfori Main Office in Brussels and may have potential to extend scope to the neighbouring countries in ASEAN if profile and capability fits in the longer run
• Measure the proper implementation of BSCI guidelines by auditors/auditing companies (Memos, guidance document)  
• Directly support Service Providers (Monitor partners) and auditors for audit quality surveillance
• Supporting System Protocols as appropriate in China
• Report on a regular basis to the amfori Main Office on the progress on the audit quality activities in Greater China (quality metrics, projects, meetings, ….)

• Make recommendations on audit surveillance annual planning for Greater China
• Strategic quality engagement with auditing companies / Auditors in China
• Coordinate China Calibration Meeting addressing common quality concern areas from auditing companies' China offices in line with global BSCI Auditing calibration
• Regular visits and direct surveillance in auditing companies’ office/daily activities in China
• Support investigations initiated by amfori Main Office and provide auditing technical support for BSCI audits cases for China
• Lead for investigation of auditing related quality and corruption cases in China
• Handle audit related complaint cases and guide general audit enquiries that are handled by HK office admin

• Primary link for audit quality inquiries from audit companies about BSCI audit cases in Greater China

• Provide input and recommendations when appropriate to Sanctions Council on Monitoring Partners Sanction cases particularly in relation to Greater China related activities

Requirements:

• Preferably Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience (factory field-audit)
• Knowledge in global standards such as amfori BSCI or amfori BEPI, SA8000, SEDEX, ETI, ISO14001, etc. would be an advantage
• Minor job travelling would be required
• Excellent Project management skills + ability to coordinate the work of others
• Environmental / social / Health & safety / Other relevant certification and mainland Labor Law knowledge is a plus point
• Excellent proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required
