Capacity Building Officer (Greater China & ASEAN)

The Role

The Capacity Building Officer (Greater China & ASEAN) is based in Hong Kong to support & coordinate the Capacity Building daily activities & related projects. (Job title may be adjusted according to the profile of the selected candidate).

This role reports directly to the Network Representative Greater China and Matrix report to APAC Director regarding APAC regional Capacity Building activities. This post is an integral part of the amfori Greater China team based in Hong Kong office. 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Be the person-in-charge & coordinate in the Greater China & ASEAN region as focal point in Capacity Building (CB)
• Support Capacity Building (CB) service implementation, responsible for (English/Simplified Chinese) translation and review of training material
• Supervise and manage tailor-made projects (ie: workshop) and to support BSCI and BEPI development in the CB context
• Monitor the quality of training provider and provide assessment
• Monitor the workshop registration and send promotional emails or make dedicated calls when necessary to participants to ensure good registration rate of each CB workshop is attained
• Answer the inquiries related to CB
• Provide 70% support in Greater China and 30% support in ASEAN
• Minor job travelling is required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in relevant field
• Preferably Minimum post 2-3 years of post-qualification relevant experience in capacity building area
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proven ability to develop and implement a capacity building plan
• Preferably proven experience in conducting training with local or community-based organizations
• Ability to maintain the highest degree of diplomacy, coordination and transparency
• Strong ability to remain flexible and adapt to capacities of small organizations
• Excellent proficiency in English, Mandarin & Cantonese is required
