Job Description

Our Global DC Planners (GDCP) together own the planning and stocking of our "Top-1000" global part numbers.  Each GDCP will be assigned a subset of these top part numbers with the objective of optimizing inventory, freight and lead-time to best deliver to our customers (>95% STR) around the world.  Each GDCP will set the MRP-types & safety-stocks for each of their part numbers in each DC where the part is needed worldwide.  They will also release efficient orders to the producing plants with the target of maximizing a single master-stocking DC whenever possible.

Responsibilities

Planning :
- Review critical parts with appropriate Demand Manager and Product Manager as needed to make best MRP decisions.
- Have clear understanding of global footprint, point of supply and point of consumption and recommend best storage location in accordance total landed cost
- Analyse material flow and recommend and select demand pull method, pull volume and frequency to meet key performance indicators. Comment in opportunities, risks and recommend solution to support decision in S&OP
- Regular review plan attainment and trigger and communicate quick adjustment

Fulfillment and Execution :
- Work with sales, customer services, distribution planners, master production schedulers, suppliers and logistics to ensure order being fulfilled as per plan
- Ensure disciplined inventory control, FIFO, block stock, scrap and inventory accuracy
 

Master Data strategy and maintenance :
- Recommend strategy of master data and determine data set up including MRP code, MRP type, Planning time fence, Safety stock level, Kanban method, size and lot size and lot, lot size, MRP parameter, ATP parameters, ABC indicators to best support performance requirement
 

Improvement and Projects :
- be key players in footprint and migration projects
- work with logistics to minimize freight in/out bound distribution centers and minimize warehouse cost
- Work with procurement team to implement supplier VMI
- Work with CCP for customer fulfillment improvement
 

Tracking and Reporting :
- Set up and attend to alerts
- Articulate and expedite issues
- Monitor lead indicators and keep track of performance attainment

Requirements

- Bachelor degree or above in supply chain, logistics or procurement

- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience and preferably in electronic industry
- Good command in computer skills (MS Excel) with good knowledge in SAP

- Confident team player, able to lead discussions

- Energetic, committed to improvements,

- Analytical, presents thoughts well both visually and orally

- Prefer APICS CPIM certification

- Experience in JDA and Kinaxia is a plus
