Responsibilities:

• To coordinate the use of resources and facilities and provide assistance and advice in the practical needs of robotics (land and underwater) and electronics projects.
• To set up new research space, keep equipment (e.g. optical system, high speed camera, deposition furnaces, and SEM) and materials safe and in good order.
• Work closely with students on individual research projects.
• Work collaboratively with other science technicians throughout the school.
• Assist with supervising students after school.
• To assist in educational research projects.
• To carry out research protocols and contribute to the design, development and maintenance of specialist resources and/or long-term projects.
• To ensure the availability of suitable materials and equipment, helping to compile orders and liaising or negotiating with suppliers and finance departments.
• To work with outside researchers and organizations on a project basis.
• To offer administrative support and perform other duties as assigned.
• To maintain and promote a healthy, safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or above in Physics, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Material Science
• With experience in drones for scientific projects is desirable
• Ability to optimise novel protocols for Shuyuan programs and courses
• Comfortable to learn how to use technologies including nanotechnologies or other emerging technologies
• Strong IT and programming skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
• Meticulous, detail-oriented with high initiative
• Fresh graduate will be considered
