Job Description: 

• Execute and supervise dealings in accordance to Siemens Logistics Baggage Handling System commissioning guidelines and deadlines.
• Communicate turnover / commissioning roles and scope for members of design and Installation teams; understand the commissioning test plans/protocols, and coordinates and/or attend design, installation and operability reviews of HKG Midfield BHS project
• Keep planning strategies to achieve HKG Midfield project completion with available resources. If necessary advice for recruitment of required staff, train, inspire and manage the existing and new commissioning employees
• Interact and negotiate with HKG Airport Authority on AABD/EBS BHS commissioning goals and guidelines.
• Assist and guide HKG SJC (Siemens Logistics-JEC) project staff in outlining commission responsibilities.
• Promote Siemens Logistics standards by ensuring accuracy of systems results.
• Manage and update records and reports across different strata of the workforce.
• Participate actively in diverse operational aspects of HKG Midfield BHS commissioning.
• Oversee order and procurement of the required BHS commissioning spare parts and necessary support service
• Coordinate between Siemens Logistics Hong Kong management and Commissioning /Integration staff.
• Collaborate with HKG Airport Authority and SJC commissioning staff to deliver contracts within specified guidelines.
• Assess and delegate resolution of issues.
• Contribute views on Siemens Logistics designs, installation by JEC, proposals to overcome site issues during weekly management meetings.
• Be involved & participate in vendor supplier, and/or subcontractor/consortium partner (JEC) meetings to resolve issues.
• Participate in and manage onsite commissioning inspections both internally and with the Airport Authority.
• Responsible for functionally developing, managing and delivering the means and methods of the BHS
• commissioning execution strategy and schedule
• Ensures best practices of Siemens Logistics System commissioning by developing and implementing pre-commissioning, commissioning, preservation and maintenance processes and systems considering and including: contractual requirements, project and construction schedule, reliability, maintenance, materials management and change management.
• Provide input on as-built drawing preparation

What do I need to qualify for the role? 

 Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• At least 10 years of experience in baggage and/or cargo handling systems.
• Site and personnel management experience
• Demonstrate knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.
• Technical background and working knowledge of baggage handling systems as well as electrical and mechanical controls.
• Good communication skills especially in English
• Basic contract knowledge
• Experience with foreign countries; collaboration with international teams; exposure in different work/company cultures
