Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluates, analyzes, modifies and tests existing programs, systems and databases of moderate complexity
• Participates in analysis of business problems, develops and implements new programs, systems and databases of moderate complexity; codes, tests, and debugs programs; prepares program specification and documentation
• Supports in the evaluation of IFRS 17 new systems and works with selected vendor for Proof of Concept
• Ensure efficient and effective development methodologies, protocols and standards of practice are followed properly
• Provides technical support to business users and assists them as required to resolve problems and coordinate systems implementation
• Maintains current technical skills and begins to gain experience in more application systems as well as ability to perform more complex technical analysis and business requirements analysis
• Perform user support, training and cross team knowledge transfer where appropriate
• Prepare the technical documents & / or functional specifications

Job Requirements:

• University graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in software development
• Solid large scale system development experience in Java, Oracle, 3-tier models, DB operations, etc.
• Hands-on experience in application servers such as IBM WebSphere Application Server or Oracle WebLogic Server
• Experience in networks, database administration, email systems, server hardware and system security is an advantage
• Good analytical, problem solving and organizing skills
• Good team player, strong writing and communication skills
• Mature, independent, work with minimal supervisions, able to deliver quality results under tight schedule and meet project deadlines
• Candidates with experience in IFRS17 is preferable
