Responsibilities:

• To focus on set-up, evaluate and manage various server infrastructure (e.g. Windows / Linux server, virtual machine, containers, virtual desktop environment); and network infrastructure (e.g. reverse proxy/high-availability system).
• To assist in planning, implementing and supporting new technology solutions and upgrade as appropriate, including the allocation of machines;
• To provide daily maintenance and support, performance tuning and monitoring, diagnostic and resolution on aforementioned systems;
• To provide regular backup and software upgrade/patching for aforementioned systems;
• To ensure that the server infrastructure have fulfilled compliance/security requirements and assist in audit review;
• To update system design documents, operation procedures, system configuration documents, user manuals, etc.;
• To ensure project deliverables to be on time and meet quality standard.

Requirements:

• Degree or Higher diploma in computer subjects or related disciplines
• 3 years or above in IT application and system operational support, preferable with solid application development and support experience in Enterprise Service Bus, database, and/or other back-end systems.
• Solid experience in administration, troubleshooting on virtualization platforms (e.g. VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes and XenDesktop);
• Solid experience in traditional (e.g. MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and non-traditional DBMS (e.g. InfluxDB, MongoDB).
• Solid experience in set-up and administration of network infrastructure, incl. reverse proxy and high-availability system (e.g. Apache MQTT, HAproxy, NGINX, various LoRaWAN Network Server)
• Familiar with deployment, configuration and administration of various tools and application framework (e.g. Tomcat, pip, venv, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience in managing government tendering process is an absolute advantage
