Risk Director / Senior Manager, Risk (Insurance)

Our client is a growing insurance company in the Hong Kong market. Our client seeks a seasoned risk professional to lead the risk management functions:

Responsibilities:

• To develop and maintain or oversee the enterprise risk management framework
• To draft / implement risk policies
• To handle risk reporting and deal with Insurance Authority directly
• To participate with risk committees
• Assist in the monitoring of risk issues. Ensure effective implementation of guidelines and compliance against regulations
• Keep abreast of regulatory updates or new trends in the industry. Help ensure guidelines from regulators and from within are met
• Other ad-hoc tasks, such as liaison with IA and third parties on risk and compliance 

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, Law or related disciplines
• At least 5 years’ RISK experience with an insurance company
• Good knowledge in insurance risk, underwriting risk, catastrophe / reinsurance risk, credit risk, market risk etc
• Good knowledge of relevant ordinances (e.g. Insurance Ordinance) and other regulatory requirements
• Analytical, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong business acumen and capable of finishing work on time
• Fluent in English and Cantonese
