Our client is a property developer. Due to business expansion, they are looking to hire an extra member to the team.

The Legal Counsel will provide support to a Senior Legal Counsel with duties including but not limited to:

• Draft, review and negotiate various agreements
• Pre-screening of legal issues in investment opportunities and corporate projects
• Providing legal support to different departments by engaging in legal research and providing advice on legal and compliance risks on a broad range of legal issues, including corporate/project finance, real estate, investment and M&A transactions, employment, intellectual property, and litigation
• Ensuring proper and timely communication with external legal advisors and various department heads
• Keeping the company’s executives up-to-date on regulatory changes and other legislative matters
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

The successful incumbent will be:

• Newly qualified to 2 PQE in commonwealth jurisdictions
• Real estate/conveyancing experience is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with transactional work, corporate and commercial law is required
• Excellent language skills – fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Flexible and self-motivated team player who can respect and support others within the team to achieve common goals
• The ability to produce work to high standards and a high level of accuracy
