Job 1

Job Description:

• Responsible for providing programming support to a data processing system under a 3-year project
• Assisting the set up of computer servers and database;
• Providing programming support for integrating real-time data into database with quality control;
• Developing web-based interface to generate real-time information at lampposts for internal reference;
• Performing testing of the software; and
• Preparing documentation.

Job Requirement:

• Higher Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 3-year experience in application development
• Suitable candidate should be proficient in server and application development using programming languages and various development environments such as Javascript and web programming.
• Knowledge and experience in some or all of the following will be an advantage: maintaining Linux / UNIX server, network programming, GIS applications, Python programming, NoSQL

Job 2

Job Description:

• Develop in-house software to process and data in different formats;
• Develop in-house software to generate products and images for use by downstream users;
• Provide programming support to the operation of the central station
• Assist in software system design and implementation of the computer system to operate the software application system; and
• Write up documentation of software modules and provide technical support to users.

Job Requirement:

• Higher Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 3-year experience in application development
• Proficient in web programming using Javascript, HTML or PHP.
• Experience in Linux system administration.
• Experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting
• Knowledge in database development and application
• Knowledge in Python, C, C++ or C programming.
• Nice to have knowledge of Geographic Information System
