As an Associate you will be responsible for second/third line technical support, helping the Development organization other internal teams who work with a state-of-the-art risk management application running on a cloud computing infrastructure (Microsoft Azure). You will help to maintain a build/deployment system, maintain and manage the infrastructure the product is deployed to, and use a thorough understanding of the system architecture, combined with a suite of third party and in- house monitoring tools, to assist with escalated technical support queries. You will work closely with our clients and other team members in the Development, Sales, Client Support and Implementation business units.

• Gain an understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure (including IaaS, PaaS, cloud storage, and Azure Service Fabric), and the products and services that Axioma runs on it.
• Contribute to the development, specification and maintenance of a suite of monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting tools (including Nagios, Elastic, OMS, Graphite/Grafana) Ensure this suite of tools meet the support needs of a continually expanding product
• Contribute to the performance and security of the underlying infrastructure working closely with Microsoft to use the latest Azure features and functionality
• Work in an Agile environment to define and work on infrastructure enhancement requests to support the product
• Provide an escalation point for local Operations staff for technical issues

• Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Engineering
  • 2-5 years’ experience in related field (Application Support, Development)
  • Strong quantitative problem-solving and analytical skills, detail oriented
  • Very proficient in written and spoken English 
  • Experience with scripting (with Powershell preferred)
  • Programming experience (with C#) would be helpful
• Preferred:
  • MSCE Certification, or experience with SQL, Python or other object-oriented programming language, VBA, UNIX/LINUX
  • TCP/IP Networking or SysAdmin experience (Active Directory, WSUS, group policy, etc)
  • Experience with monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting solutions such as Nagios, Geneos, Graphite, Splunk, Elastic, OpenNMS would be helpful
