Job Description

You are expected to oversee the audit and reconciliation of retail store data and timely and accurate posting of information to the financial systems. This includes daily verifications across the Asia-Pacific region department stores and monthly reconciliations related to all tender types, as well as managing relationships with credit card processors, department stores, check processors and guarantors, banks, and other third parties.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily verification and monthly reconciliation of all credit card info, including settlement, fees, posting to G/L
  • Chargeback retrieval process and customer service issues related to credit cards
  • Gift card and merchandise credit verification, reconciliations, customer service
  • Daily verification of store bank deposits and follow up with stores or Asset Protection team as needed
  • Ensuring that month-end closing is performed accurately and in accordance with Corporate closing calendars
  • Ensuring all adjustments, charges/fees and receivables are properly booked to the G/L
  • Accounting for any employee purchases, special orders, deferred billing, deferred sales
  • Reconcile monthly cash/wires with department stores
  • Assist the Accounting team, auditors and other areas as needed to research sales audit related issues
  • Ensure stores and staff comply with all procedures and controls and regulatory requirements
  • Establish and issue appropriate reporting and complete regulatory filings as required

 

Requirements

  • Form 7 graduate or above
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience within Retail 
  • Knowledge of Financial system – Island Pacific / Microsoft AX or similar merchandising system would be advantage 
  • Knowledge of POS systems 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) 
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills 
  • Resourceful and motivated to drive change 
  • Courteous and professional demeanor 
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Experience working with various countries within Asia-Pacific region required 
  • Good command in written and spoken English
