JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The network administrator position provides technical and administrative support for the Company, using Windows and Mac operating systems, O365 and a variety of application software; maintains adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the network and users' utilization of them; and provides written documents which evaluate LAN information on periodic intervals.

Essential Functions

1. Assist in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users in local and remote offices.
2. Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users.
3. Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in training of users, making them more efficient.
4. Install new software applications or hardware on the LANs, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary.
5. Add and maintain users on the network; assigning application access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards.
6. Assist in installation of workstations and printers on the LANs.
7. Participate in Team meetings, providing input and suggestions, and prepare minutes of discussion items.
8. Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies as needed.
9. Provide written document on a monthly basis which defines upcoming needs of network which would require purchase of additional hardware or software.
10. Monitor and report licenses on applications to ensure compliance on a monthly basis.
11. Perform duties of IT Manager in his/her absence.
12. Insure that all network and software patches are applied to all servers.
13. Monitor load balance on servers and make recommendations accordingly.
14. Assist with website maintenance.

Required Education and Experience

1. University degree plus 2-3 years of experience in a client/server environment.
2. MS Windows Certification
3. Knowledge in MSSQL is preferred
