Job Description

To execute the defined sourcing strategy for designated product categories and to provide managerial leadership to Fabric Sourcing Team to provide internal customers with fabric sourcing services to secure customer orders; and to lead projects for continuous improving Fabric Sourcing effectiveness to support the Group’s business targets. Details as below:

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand overall textile market trends and supplier business performance and propose changes to the fabric sourcing strategy as needed
  • Understand product ranges, price ranges and capability of different suppliers to help identify suitable suppliers for development
  • Work closely with Sales & Merchandising teams to understand customer needs, requirements and overall market trends on fabric
  • Provide advice to internal customers on technical fabric issues
  • Source and develop fabric including the management of sample ordering, fabric testing and customer approvals
  • Manage the procurement process including request for quotations, negotiate with suppliers, recommend best offer (in terms of quality, service and cost) to the sales team and bulk order management
  • Identify potential savings opportunities and support cost savings initiatives
  • Manage good supplier relationships
  • Participate in operational improvement projects
  • Willing to travel occasionally within Asia

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree holder with preference in Textile & Clothing
  • 5-7 years of experience preferably in supply chain management functions under a manufacturing, consumer goods or retail (including buying offices) setting.
  • Experience in textile/apparel industry is a plus
  • Good understand of supply chain management concepts such as order management, supplier management, lead time, quality etc.
  • Strong communication and customer servicing mindset
  • Excellent command in English & Mandarin
  • Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
