Job Description
Responsibilities
- Review product requirements and provide comments and concerns relating to conceptual design for new product development.
- Engage vendor to fulfil all testing requirements.
- Make sure test samples have been evaluated to meet customer specification and quality requirements.
- Test shot samples evaluation/ testing and reporting.
- Validate tooling and processes for mass production.
- Provide technical advice and suggestions for process improvement and failure analysis.
- Follow through and investigate on design/manufacturing problem, define the problem and offer possible solution and carry out trouble shooting.
- Assess and give recommendation on the product design and manufacturing technology to factories.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in OEM product development / Technical Design / R&D department or PDE w/ less experience may be considered.
- Good knowledge of plastic injection molding, die casting, metal stamping, motors and gears.
- Good knowledge of secondary operation/decoration for plastic and metal components.
- Possess analytical and trouble shooting skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Able to work under pressure, excellent communication skills and detail minded.
- Knowledge of National and International regulations e.g. ISO9000, REACH, CA Prop.65.
- Familiar with using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Pro-E as drafting tools.
- Frequent travel to China is required.
