Responsibilities

• Senior-level position to take responsibility for all US GAAP technical reporting, which includes monitoring operations for technical accounting issues, conducting research and proposing solutions.
• Ensure accounting policies are sufficiently documented to meet Sarbanes-Oxley internal control over financial reporting compliance requirements.
• Oversee external SEC financial reporting process and depending on experience, lead a team of 10+ professionals.
• Liaise with centralized FP&A, internal control, tax, IT and legal teams to drive best practices.
• Coordinate with diverse PRC and international business units to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Identify and support compliance with all reporting standards in relation to US-listed companies (US GAAP) and statutory accounting practices (IFRS and PRC GAAP).
• Assist and work with the team to prepare and review financial reports, assessments, analysis and papers.
• Manage ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Strong US GAAP technical skills a must; candidates with additional IFRS knowledge preferred
• Native written and spoken English a must; candidates with additional Cantonese or Putonghua skills preferred
• Qualified accountant or equivalent finance qualification with 8+ years proven track record in senior managerial role at group or regional level ideally gained from multinational biotech corporation or Big 4 firm.
• Travelling to PRC or US may be required.
