Summary Statement:

You will be responsible to oversee Service Desk, Desktop Support and Networking activities within the region in order to plan and deliver technology services to the Asia Business Unit. The incumbent should coordinate these efforts with Global Information Systems (GIS), local IT technical support and business functions to achieve effective integration of business processes and technology

Representative Duties:   

• Cultivate a process-centric organization in the region, developing consistent work procedures and enforcing GIS policies
• Actively participate in regular reviews of Company technology to identify opportunities for regional improvements and set realistic goals
• Execute global Infrastructure & Technical Services projects in the region with deliverables on project tasks, budgets, resource requirements and communications, on timely basis and within budget
• Prioritize and communicate regional projects and Service Desk requests based on business requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Adhere to a list of approved standard for computer hardware and software; communicate and enforce these standards in the region
• Contribute to the creation and oversight of staffing contingency plans and technical disaster recovery plans for GIS functions within the region
• Maintain technical and procedural documentation for the region in accordance with managerial escalation procedures to address recurring issues
• Oversee regional asset management processes and in compliance with Company legal obligations and policies
• Maintain high user satisfaction in service delivery in the region
• Develop and maintain regional IT budgets, ensure budgetary compliance and responsible spending decisions
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Degree holder or above in Computer Science or other relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 year experience in MNC with supervisory experience in the capacity of technical infrastructure disciplines, i.e. network management, system administration and operation, desktop/LAN administration
• Comprehensive knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft OS and application suites, and voice/data networking (LAN/WAN) services, Cisco highly desired
• Experience in managing/supporting multi-location environments and managing/leading/participating in technical infrastructure related projects
• Experience in enterprise management system (ERP) and any or all ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) disciplines are highly desired
• Sound technical troubleshooting, problem resolution, and decision-making skills. Well organized, customer focus and team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese with good communication and organizational skills
• Willing to travel
