Job Description

 

The Marketing and Communications Manager oversees the Marketing and Communications team. He/she will plan, manage and execute all forms of marketing & communications initiatives for profile building and delivery of key messages to our stakeholders in order to achieve the Institute’s overall objectives.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • To bridge, build and maintain a constructive relationship with external stakeholders and partners (publisher, PR consultant, event organisers, collaborativepartners, etc.), with the objective to ensure timely and quality deliverables
  • To devise project plan, lead, manage and follow-up execution for publicity of HKIB and its training programmes, events, conferences, awards & membership
  • To manage and coordinate production of corporate collateral and open for members’ purchase as appropriate
  • To take charge of external communications including publications (annual reports, bi-monthly professional journals), weekly enews, social media platforms, website, presentation files, speeches, surveys, stakeholders’ correspondences, etc.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor or senior management team

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing and communications with solid experience in branding, product marketing and digital marketing
  • Banking exposure a definite advantage
  • Familiar with multiple marketing platforms/channels including publications and social media
  • A track record of proven constructive relationship management, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and take decisions, but know when to seek guidance
  • Able to prioritise, to work flexibly, and to complete multi-tasks to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Proven skills in communication and literacy including proof-reading and presentation skills
  • A hands-on person who can also see the big picture
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Chinese typing
