As a Project Director, you will form a critical component of the pitching team for strategizing project pursuits. You will work closely with fellow colleagues to strategize on project management approaches, provide innovative solutions which are proven to meet clients’ needs and requirements. You will represent the company in interfacing with clients to provide key advisory in the field. You will take ownership of assigned corporate offices interior design projects, ensuring its profitability and successful completion. Your responsibility for assigned projects starts from the initial design conception, construction, to completion and handover to clients.

What You Will Do

• Meet new clients with the Business Development team to understand the needs and scope of work, provide advisory and solutions to clients         
• Lead, plan, direct and coordinate with the project team in preparing project proposals, delivery strategies, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
• Ensure project progresses on schedule within prescribed budget and achieve clients’ satisfaction
• Contract negotiation, proactively be a problem solver and manage project risks, mitigating as necessary
• Manage project coordination, conduct and attend project review meetings to clearly communicate the project progress
• Conduct site inspections to ensure conformance to design specifications, building codes and other regulatory requirements
• Set goals, directions and standards for team members and manage their performance to achieve company goals and objectives
• Ensure that all work processes and procedures of the team are adhered to, especially company policies, work flows and standards
• Plan and assign projects to subordinates to ensure smooth operations and clients’ satisfaction with every continuous in-coming project
• Review and advise subordinates’ layout plan, M&E plan and visuals, prepare time plan, attractive quotes/prices/costing to clients without compromising company’s profit margin before submitting tenders for the project to clients
• Review WIPs submitted by subordinates; conduct regular meetings with them in resolving issues arise during project execution, provide advice and coach them when necessary to complete project according to tender/contract and clients’ satisfaction
• Review and expedite subordinates in payment collections according to tenders/contracts and at the same time working closely with the Finance Department to solicit clients for payments you directly manage as according to Contract and Invoice issue to ensure the smooth cash flow of the company

Your Qualifications

• Recognized qualification in interior design, architecture or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate office interior design and build project management. Those with PMP certification have an added advantage
• Experience in leading and managing multiple projects within tight timelines
• Self-motivated, positive working attitude with a high level of professionalism and integrity
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Candidates with less than expected experience may be considered for a Senior Project Manager position.
