Role Overview

We are seeking for an experienced Data center Migration Project Manager for a Datacentre Relocation & Migration project for our investment bank client.

Serving as a subject matter expert in delivering server migration of a DC and its related infrastructure from current location to a new appointed site. Involving +2000 physical devices plus virtual machine in over 50 cabinets floor space. Driving migrations deliverables, communicating with stakeholders, scheduling, chairing governance meeting, etc.

This PM will have extensive experiences in DC Migration projects with physical server and/or application migration experiences, ideally in a Financial Services environment would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, Manage and monitor project schedule for migrating the physical servers, P-to-P and P-to-V.

• Lead the project team to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of data centre services

• Work with migration team, infrastructure team and services vendors to ensure services and deliverables meets with business expectation

• Keep track and record project plan of migrations activities for status review

• Manage and drive the setup in Data centre

Requirements

• +8 years’ experiences in IT Infrastructure, in particular large-scale data center migration and/or relocation experiences

• Solid experience in project management of Server Migration, System Integration or related project exposure

• Familiar with System transformation from physical server to cloud / virtualization

• Good understanding of ITIL (Change, Incident management) and disaster recovery

• PMP, PRINCE 2, CDCP or other relevant certification would be advantages

• Able to work weekends, and to attend global meetings outside of traditional working hours

• Excellent verbal and written communication (English & Chinese) and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical audiences
