ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will help us build out our API driven (micro)services architecture. We're working with the realtime web (websockets) so we have some interesting challenges that you won't see at a pure RESTful HTTP shop.

• Work together with the team to planning and conceptualization of new applications as well as maintain current systems.
• Handling data sets in the millions efficient processing and merging into the current system.
• Architecture and API design and implementation (in collaboration with the app & front-end developers).
• Microservices architecture all using docker to develop and deploy your services in.
• Monitoring all systems for performance improvements and catch bugs and fix problems.
• Developing in-house tools and reporting.

ABOUT YOU:

• Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of hands on development experience modern frameworks/technologies like PHP, Ruby, Python,and Go (Candidates with less experience will be considered as a Backend Engineer)
• Solid experience with object-oriented, MVC design patterns, and API design
