Job Description
Role Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic Underwriting Manager who can manage and execute an underwriting strategy for non-life products, including Financial lines. Candidates must be analytical, creative, and be excited about creating new products that will change the
insurance landscape. He/ She will work closely with the Commercial, and Underwriting team and will be involved in the entire product life-cycle including market proposition, research, development, pricing, and execution.
Job Description:
• Work closely with the Commercial, and Underwriting team on product development in non-life products, for B2C, and B2B2C markets
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs; develop new and enhance existing products to cater to various customer segments
• Analyse different products and market initiatives to ensure our competitiveness in pricing and coverage
• Conduct post implementation product reviews and ongoing competitiveness & profitability analysis
• Develop policy wording & various required documents
• Collaborate across teams including Underwriting, Commercial, Experience and IT to develop processes and systems to support new product launch, and enhance validation rules for existing products to improve efficiency on underwriting and policy-related changes
Qualifications:
• Degree holder with minimum 5 years' experience in General Insurance
• Experience in Cyber, Financial and Liability lines added advantages
• In-depth knowledge of underwriting processes and product marketing with experience in drafting policy provisions
• Creative, think outside of the box mentality and self-motivated
• Holders of AAII/ ACII/ ANZIIF will be advantageous
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
