Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the International Program (IP) Operations for Hong Kong, including the issuance of local received policies and the implementation of Hong Kong programs, cross-border policies and captives following Group directives
• Act as IP systems expert providing local user support, local training, data quality oversight, UAT. This will also include the necessary expert knowledge of system interface
• Manage the local Underwriting Services team, including the monitoring of performance / quality and providing hands-on support for complex cases
• Act as IP process expert providing local training/refreshers for Produced and Received team including Claims; assurance of compliance with global Guidelines and Standards
• Act as the liaison to IP Operations and part of the wider IP Coordinator network / process experts
• Work across and support the key stakeholders for Commercial Insurance division – both International and Domestic in terms of data quality, monitoring and reporting
• Manage the IP Operations team, be it onshore or offshore to achieve excellent service in time and quality for our customers, whilst optimizing resources
• Gathers all relevant information of the Captive, CoReinsurance and Facultative Reinsurance structures related to an International Program and delivers this to the Financial Transactions (FiT) team
• Act as key coordinator for Hong Kong and key contact point for the Clearinghouse and all other involved parties
• Represent Hong Kong’s IP capabilities externally, by regularly interacting with brokers/direct customers and supporting market-facing underwriters in their relationship with these business partners

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Over 6 years experience in insurance or reinsurance
• 3 years IP experience and IP Certified
• Underwriting or Underwriting Service know-how
• Finance, systems & accounting affinity and experience
• General knowledge of insurance products and services, international business knowledge a plus
• General understanding and knowledge of the IP Value Proposition
• Fluent in English, both written & spoken
• Basic knowledge of international regulatory requirements
• Excellent planning skills with ability to effectively manage changing priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively at a variety of organization levels
• Understand and appreciate different cultures; able to engage with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds
