Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

eport to the Development Officer.  The Associate is responsible to support the Development initiatives in Hong Kong, across Asia and United States as we prepare for the Centennial in 2022.  The Associate works under the direction of Development Officer in organizing and supporting fundraising initiatives. He/she is responsible to maintain the donor and prospect databases in the region; assist in the preparation of materials, reports, and proposals. 

 

Job Description: 

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with direct supervisor and complete projects as assigned, with support to the entire development team as needed;
  • Responsible for coding all gifts received in Hong Kong, updating the donor database and running weekly and monthly reports;
  • Support the Centennial events and project planning, including prepare event invitations/brochures, newsletters; planning and executing celebration events; coordinate with different parties/suppliers/vendors;
  • Responsible for database management such as maintaining organizations contact files, providing mailing lists to support development initiatives, and generating reports as needed;
  • Prepare development-related documents for board or committee meetings;
  • Collaborate with development staff, organize receptions and dinners (and related details) involving alumni, major donors, and/or other constituents in the region;
  • Draft donor proposals, follow up and prepare endowment and stewardship reports, prepare support materials as needed, and draft correspondence; and
  • Other general office duties as assigned such as taking donor inquiries by email and phone, processing office mail, etc.

 

Job Requirements:

  • A good Bachelor’s degree with 2 -3 years of relevant post-qualification experience, including data entry, database management and event management;
  • Experience in Salesforce and Raisers-Edge software is an advantage;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel;  
  • Attention to details in written correspondence and has high data entry accuracy;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high sensitivity to cultural nuances;
  • The ability to use sound judgment to determine and identify issues or problems that require supervisor’s attention; and
  • The ability to maintain constructive, collegial relationships with all colleagues.

  • Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience
