Job Description

We are now recruiting both mid-level and management sales & marketing roles. Responsibilities would include some or all of below, depending on position level you may be qualified for:

 

  • Overarching objective is to lead and/or contribute to actions that will help maintain our significant year-over-year sales growth (20%-40% per year each of the past 6 years).
  • Develop & lead sales strategies aimed at maximizing revenue for our various product lines. This may include distribution channel analysis & planning, pricing strategies, and other sales strategies with the intent to expand and/or grow distribution of our products.
  • Analyze existing customer base & identify areas for growth with all key accounts based on sales history, trends, and new opportunities. Lead subsequent actions.
  • Work closely & provide guidance to our merchandising staff & customers to ensure the development & growth of our business together.  
  • Work with merchandising team on preparing offers for customers; this includes identifying suitable items, product customizations, preparing samples, and arranging quotations.
  • Help manage product costing and quoting systems. Review and approve quotations for merchandising teams to submit to customers and leads.
  • Identify high-value customer targets, and develop & execute solicitation strategies to attract & establish them as new customers.
  • Develop & grow more online sales channels for our products around the world, specifically with Amazon.
  • Manage B2B marketing initiatives & activities, including tradeshows (we participate in 4-5 toy exhibitions around the world each year), as well other marketing actions like our website, annual catalogues, online marketing actions (EDM email campaigns, etc).
  • Manage B2C marketing initiatives, to help drive end-user demand of our products, through both (a) POS actions with our various retail partners, and (b) social media initiatives on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others. 

Ideal candidates:

 

  • Are smart, personable, conscientious, team-players.
  • Are resourceful and creative taking on new responsibilities and finding ways to get things done.
  • Are content working both independently as well as in small teams.
  • Have first language English skills, both written and verbal. Great communication skills needed. No Chinese language skills required.
  • Are able to write good copy about our products in English, for online retail as well as B2B marketing actions.
  • Have some toy industry experience.
  • Have sales & marketing experience in a consumer goods company and/or trading company.
  • Are willing to travel. Attend international toy fairs to meet our customers and find new ones.
  • Are comfortable working in a “small company” environment requiring broader responsibilities and direct handling of many tasks. Are happy to ‘get hands dirty’ on both big and small tasks.
  • Have experience working with Amazon, and developing successful logistics and sales strategies with them.
  • Have necessary visa to work in Hong Kong.
