Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Reporting to Secretary - General, the Senior Project Manager will oversee the operation of the CTFMF and aging-related project grants. The SPM will perform the followings:  

  • Carry out basic research, including conducting interviews with the field professionals in  academia, non-profit organisations and public sector to map out the service landscape, identify critical needs, service gaps, health care and philanthropic opportunities that aligned with the focus areas of CTFMF;
  • Manage the projects independently from application screening to project end that includes: project proposals review and report writing for grant approval by the Committee of the Foundation; monitor the progress of the funded projects and the payment of the approved donations in Hong Kong / Mainland China / overseas; conduct due diligence, annual review and onsite visits to the funded organisations to keep track of the funded projects towards the anticipated goals; analyze and compile project information and prepare relevant reports for management review;
  • Proactively engage the field professionals, project partners through organising networking or learning activities;  
  • Ensure compliance with HKIRD to maintain non-profit status and other applicable regulations through the grant making cycle;
  • Occasional deployment to support other philanthropic entities


Requirements:

  • Degree holder with at least 10 years’ working experience in grants management or related fields. Hands-on experience in grant making, philanthropic sector and / or health care sector is preferable
  • Good analytical skills and project management skills
  • Self-motivated, work independently, capable of multi-tasking, good presentation and communication skills
  • Keen interest in health care, aging related services, philanthropy and strong awareness on good practices in health care and aging sector and philanthropy worldwide  
  • Good written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
  • Good domain knowledge on the health care and elderly welfare policies in Hong Kong is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, excel, PPT) and social media tools  
  • Possess positive and professional attitude, flexibility and “can-do” attitude
  • Extensive network in health care / NGO / philanthropic sectors is a plus
  • Be comfortable to work and speak with all walks of life
