Job Description

Our client is a globally recognised Legal & Professional Services Organisation currently on the search for a Regional Business Analysis Manager

 

Duties:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Business Analysis Team so that it can successfully execute its duty as the key provider of business reporting, analyses and modelling for Asia catering to all partners and key management of the region.
  • Provide management information, decision support analysis and strategic/market research for the region’s practice groups
  • Run global projects on operational effectiveness and best practises
  • Ad hoc analyses and modelling covering the needs from any function and/or practice including but not limited to financial analysis, headcount analysis, client profitability and reporting, and other business modelling.
  • Market research in support of strategy work or business development initiatives
  • Act as the main co-ordinator of the annual Leadership Communication processes for the region.
  • Provide support to any ad hoc projects that arises across Asia which do not fall under any specific function and/or geography.
  • An active member of the senior business services management team, the Asia Management Team
  • Continually develop and evolve the scope and remit of the Business Analysis Team to meet the changing needs of the business by being the thought leader in the region in areas of business modelling, market research and strategic analysis. 
  • Provision of any general management support requested and generally be the go-to person for any financial related queries and advice including monthly reporting and exception analyses
  • First-line support to the Regional Practice Head shaping and assisting with the formulation and implementation of the strategy and priorities for the practice groups.
  • Develop and agree practice business plans and priorities and manage performance against these.
  • Regional projects and ad hoc support to the Executive Committee 

Requirements 

  • Over 8 years working experience in a corporate / MNC environment
  • Solid degree in any discipline from  reputable International University
  • An accounting degree, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, MBA (desirable) and strong Financial Analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English and an additional Asian language skill, with broad international business exposure
  • Strong strategic business & financial modelling expertise
  • Interactive business modelling in support of decision making in practices and throughout the region
  • The function is also expected to provide non-biases opinion and/or recommendation of strategic issues based on strategic analysis and market research

Attributes:

  • Able to challenge status quo
  • Flexible, able to cope with changing priorities
  • Experience with an integrated ERP with report writer
  • Experience in designing modelling and financial analysis
  • Prior experience with SAP (desirable)
  • Experience with leading or presenting any in-house training (desirable)
  • Excellent Excel (Pivot table and macros level) a must
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Access experience an added advantage (desirable)
  • Ability to understand the commercial reality behind financial numbers
  • Ability to interpret numeric data into real life implications
  • Ability to explain financial information to non-finance people
