About this role:

The Growth team is often referred to as ‘internal consultants’ or a ‘SWAT team’ within the company.  We are focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities to evolve early stage ideas into future growth engines.  We are constantly finding ways to drive exponential business growth, whether that’s through discovering new partnerships and acquisition channels or optimizing product conversion.  We love data and are obsessive about dissecting and turning it into new strategies to optimize our business model, products and customer journeys.  We work hand in hand with product, tech, design, marketing to implement growth initiatives which allow us to get our product into the hands of more customers and deliver value to them faster every day.

What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role

• Build and grow a base of die-hard fans and a highly engaged community for WeLab Bank through a variety of online and offline channels
• Be an ambassador for the bank, curate and successfully execute authentic and unique experiences that our community members will love
• Set up and manage the community and events calendar to engage existing members and attract new community members and customers.  Organize events end-to-end, from generating relevant ideas and content, managing event agencies and hosting, to engaging with members before, during and after events
• Work closely with Marketing, PR, Product teams to raise awareness for the brand, gather feedback from customers and launch tactical efforts to grow the base
• Be inquisitive, always questioning assumptions with data and pushing your creativity to the limit in order to drive business growth and hack customer acquisition, activation, referral, retention and revenue through the bank’s community
• Be a key member of the Virtual Banking team and help WeLab succeed in delivering the best products and digital experiences in the Hong Kong market
• Be an enthusiastic team player and contribute at all levels of the organization across the company – from leading meetings, delivering insightful research to product testing through customer interviews, no task is off limits

What is required and what we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
• Experience with roles within community management, marketing, growth, branding, social media management or event management. Experience at a start-up is a plus but not a must
• Up to date and on the pulse of trends and relevant topics for our customer base in Hong Kong
• Expert multi-tasker, able to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to distil complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans
• Entrepreneurial self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• With curious and questioning mind
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluency in both Cantonese and English
