Job Description

Responsibilities

·  Actively involved in trade functions and networking opportunities on behalf of the HKTB to

o Promote HKTB’s trade programs, strengthen trade partners’ understanding and boost their participation

o Collect market intelligence and gain understanding on the trade partners’ business sentiment including operation needs, opportunities and challenges facing the travel trade

o Build up and maintain close relationship with the trade partners and stakeholders for seeking potential partnership opportunities

  • Provide strategic insights to GM, BD in formulating trade strategies and programs through tapping the collected market intelligence as well as the new ideas and feedback on trade programs from different trade partners
  • Develop comprehensive strategic plans to reinforce engagement of stakeholders from the industry of hotels, travel agents and attractions, and translate the partnership opportunities into action plans
  • Act as a go-to-person of the travel trades, including hotels, travel agents and attractions, assess and prioritise their business needs to provide feasibility plans to the GM, BD on the potential actions.
  • Coordinate cross-function Trade Support initiatives to contribute to the success of the business development and program implementation
  • Undertake any other duties and assignments as directed by the GM, BD

 

Requirements

  • University degree holder with at least 10 years of marketing/sales/business development experience in tourism industry, of which 4 years is at managerial level
  • A highly tactful and skillful negotiator with proven track record in partnership development projects
  • A seasoned creative marketing professional from the tourism industry with in-depth knowledge of the commercial environment and highly customer focused
  • Good understanding of Hong Kong tourism services is a MUST
  • Strong interpersonal skill, self-motivated, proactive and able to establish good relationship and to negotiate effectively with both internal parties and external stakeholders
  • Analytical, strong problem solving and project management skills with strategic mind, result-oriented and influencing skills
  • Self-motivated, mature, multi-tasked, able to work independently and under pressure
