Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Formulate effective trade development strategies and tactics in accordance with the strategic directions of HKTB, and review on a regular basis, to keep raising the overall standards of tourism products and service quality to drive tourist arrivals amid fast-changing market dynamics.
  • Engage Worldwide Offices to introduce continuous improvement to the established trade programs, such as Family Fun and Getaway.
  • Lead the development and execution of different business-to-business networking platforms, in cooperation with respective HKTB Worldwide Offices and HO teams, to strengthen HKTB’s position as a valuable partner tothe Hong Kong travel trade.
  • Establish and maintain close working partnership with key Hong Kong travel trade partners as well as cooperation with new trade partners
  • Act as the key contact point for HKTB’s trade development function including multi destinations, new travel segment and new markets
  • Keep abreast of latest industry developments, track performance of trade and consumer programs and provide continuous feedbacks on operational environment, industry development and competitive activities to senior management
  • Direct and facilitate local and overseas HKTB promotional activities for the purposes of marketing Hong Kong as the most desired leisure and business destination and converting visitor interest into business. Ensure all of the promotional activities are in line with the HKTB and Business Development’s goals and objectives.
  • Track feedback and performance of trade and consumer programs so as to provide recommendation on enhancements and drive improvement.
  • To meet corporate objectives and deliver KPIs set.
  • Supervise, coach and develop team members in the execution of their duties. Assist in their career development and ensure a succession plan is in place.
  • Financial responsibility of managing the budget of the team, and related trade and consumer programs.
  • Provide planning, organising and execution supports on ad-hoc activities.

 

Requirements

  • University degree holder in Marketing or other related disciplines
  • At least 12 years of marketing/sales experience in travel industry, of which 5 years is at managerial level
  • Good knowledge of general affairs and tourism in Hong Kong
  • Experienced in developing integrated business development and marketing programs, strategic decision making and project management are essential
  • Self-motivated with strong strategic thinking and creativity
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Good report writing and verbal presentation skills
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
