Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Manager, Laboratory Services Management in managing and planning all Laboratory capital/non-capital works projects of the Company to ensure projects are accomplished in time, within budget, to required quality and safety standards;
- Assist to plan & monitor the Laboratory Facilities and Project, and daily project documentation and administrative work;
- Assess and perform routine evaluation of infrastructures and facilities setup for laboratories in the Park and make recommendations to ensure the provisions can meet the regulatory requirements and the international health and safety standards;
- Review, assess and make comment on the laboratory setup for laboratory tenants’ lease application and make recommendations to in-house staff of other divisions for the lease approval consideration;
- Monitor, control and oversee the Laboratory Facility Management Service Provider to ensure the laboratory infrastructures and dangerous goods operation in the Park are effectively and efficiently maintained, operated and controlled;
- Monitor, control and oversee the approval of laboratory layouts and facilities design for laboratory tenants, ensure the provisions can meet the health and safety regulatory requirements and international standard requirements;
- Monitor and oversee the routine inspection of laboratory facilities and setup by tenants including workplace, laboratory safety and security checking;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Possession of a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline;
- Member of a recognized professional institute in the discipline of mechanical or building services engineering or related disciplines is preferred;
- Minimum 6 - 8 years’ relevant working experience. Experience in operation and maintenance of hospital and laboratory projects preferable. Candidates with less experience will be considered for lower post;
- Experience in planning, risk assessment, design and operation of dangerous goods and biohazard laboratories and hospitals operation;
- Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for development projects in Hong Kong and knowledge of government procedures;
- Proficiency in project management / design related computer application software;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- An initial of 3-year contract will be offered to the successful candidate
