Job Description

Scope of Duties: 

Lead the formulation, development and implementation of the HAECO Group Sustainable Development (SD) Strategy (through partnership with Group companies) and associated Communication Plans and coordination and reporting of SD data and information and ensuring that an annual HAECO Group SD Report is published in line with relevant standards.

  • Lead the development of Sustainable Development strategies and plans and develop policies, tactics and guidelines related to corporate sustainability for the HAECO Group
  • Coordinate with and assist Group companies in executing the corporate environmental policies, strategies, programs and initiatives; undertake ongoing assessments provide recommendations for improvement, drive implementation, continually monitor and ensure plans are up to date
  • Develop and lead a communication plan to promote environmental awareness among staff by organising or conducting regular training / workshops / seminars / programs and by publishing relevant information
  • Identify trends and recognise risks and opportunities in the external and internal environments to address sustainability and environmental challenges
  • Monitor and report on all HAECO Group company Sustainable Development activities and ensure that they are integrated with HAECO Group SD Strategy
  • Be responsible for sustainability reporting and carry out internal and external stakeholder engagement
  • Manage the Group’s sustainability management platform, track group company’s sustainability performance and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Act as the key point of contact with the Swire Group on their initiatives, recommendations and commitments and participate in Swire THRIVE working groups.
  • Identify and share Sustainable Development best practices across the Group and identify opportunities of standardisation within the HAECO Group

Requirements: 

  • A recognized degree; Environmental Sciences, Sustainability
  • Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in the area of Sustainability
  • Experience of working with NGO’s, Sustainability Consultancy an advantage
  • Experience of working in the Aviation / MRO field an advantage
  • Continuous Improvement experience / Lean Sigma Greenbelt an advantage
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
  • Proficiency in report writing and presentations using advanced software applications
  • Strong competency in the subject of Sustainable Development
  • Strong understanding of SD trends and challenges
  • Good analytical skills, energetic and resourceful
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Good leadership and event coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure to deliver results
