Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Financial Analyst, Planning & Analysis, is responsible for supporting the preparation and analysis of the annual budget, forecasts, long range planning, and monthly management reports. Performs financial analysis and modeling as directed; prepares financial plans and budgets; analyzes, interprets and communicates cost and expense variances to management

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and business leaders to support Finance/Business planning cycles, including annual budget / forecast (LE) for P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement
  • Prepare operating performance analysis with high level of accuracy for effectively understanding
  • Design, implement and automate various analytic reports and statistics to enhance the business performance
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure proper month end closing, such as IFRS adjustment and accrual process
  • Store investment planning plan to analyse the profitability for supporting the business decisions
  • To perform ad-hoc analyses and additional related duties as assigned


 

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • University degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in FP&A; experience gained from Canadian or US company or MNC and retail industry is preferred
  • A self-motivated individual with excellent analytical & communication skills and a versatile team player who could work under pressure                                     
  • Possess initiative, mature and independent
  • Familiar in mid-large ERP system experience – Microsoft Dynamics preferred (D365) would be an advantage
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
