To assist Head of Finance in overseeing and running daily operations of finance department

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the accounting team to handle the daily accounting duties to ensure the records are accurate and under the requirements of internal controls and accounting procedures
• Supervise the accounting team in month end and year end closing, and review of accounts schedules and intercompany reconciliations
• Responsible for implementation of accounting software (Flex System)
• Responsible for cash flow monitoring
• Assist in the update of cash flow forecast, monthly management report and cash flow forecast
• Responsible for statutory reporting
• Liaison with other departments when required to improve finance and accounting operational efficiency as well as accuracy of accounting records
• Assist in the company secretarial works assigned by the Head of Finance
• Assist in dealing with the external auditors and company secretaries in relation to statutory audit, company secretarial and tax matters
• Adhere to timeline and ensuring all reporting deadlines are met
• Ensure compliance with financial accounting standards as well as taxation and company laws/regulations
• Handle other ad hoc tasks as required
• Responsible for update of yearly consolidation of financial statements for year end audit purpose
• Report to Head of Finance and ensure daily operations of finance department meets the needs of the company

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent
• Qualified Member of professional CPA association
• 10 years of relevant experience
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, budget/cash-flow monitoring and internal accounting controls
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
• Knowledge in Flex System is preferred but not essential
• Fluency in English and Cantonese
• Strong sense of responsibility, detailed-oriented and independent
• Fast paced, passionate and hands on with a positive attitude
• Flexible, able to work under pressure and a good team player
