Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, controlling and reporting financial information on the performance of the GTC. Engage in financial analysis in areas like forecasting, budgeting, cost reduction and operational performance.
  • Key liaison with all operating functions / departments of GTC and key functional teams in the US including but not limited to Finance Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Legal and general administration function teams contact identify cost drivers and trends to establish business plan targets

  • Responsible for enforcing accounting policies as defined by Corporate Accounting to ensure compliance with GAAP in addition.
  • Lead all aspects of financial management for the company and decision support
  • Build strong end-to-end operational knowledge of GTC operations
  • Responsible for the monthly close, analysis and forecast process; develop new methodologies to improve forecast accuracy; 
to the integrity and accuracy of financial results and inventories
  • Responsible for implementing internal controls and maintaining compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations in GTC office
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements for financial reporting and auditing; company profit tax filing, company secretarial matters and annual return filing and related
  • Be a primary contact with the external auditor, tax advisor and company secretarial service provider 

  • Plan and lead the annual budget and Long Range Plan process for GTC 

  • Help establish and communicate business plan targets to GTC management 

  • Understand Asia strategies and work with teams to incorporate initiative impact into budget and forecasts 

  • Lead systems definition and implementation to support the financial needs of the GTC 

  • Improve financial processes and tools by improving financial visibility and simplifying execution 

  • Align Asia market reporting and data availability with North America standards 

  • Decision Support Analysis: Represent a trusted financial point of view in critical contract negotiations; lead finance team in tracking and supporting new initiatives and controls as appropriate (e.g., Supply Chain Operations Excellence)
  • Capital Expenditures: Partner with teams to compile and evaluate capital requests including determining cost justification / business case and tracking actual expenditures versus budget; perform post-investment analysis for major projects
  • Cost Analysis & Reporting: Analyze key performance indicator and report results ensuring understanding of relationship between financial reporting results and other performance indicators
  • Compile and lead Monthly Performance Report with GTC Leadership Team
  • Implement appropriate control changes in line with the Supply Chain strategy initiatives
  • Work with HR Manager in Vietnam in supporting the HR operation functions, including but not limited to employee payroll and benefits administration, working hours and leave records, employee income tax reporting and etc, in both Hong Kong and China
  • Manage lease agreements for office building, expatriate apartment, office equipment and etc
  • General administration duties as required
  • Ad hoc assignment when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting 

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience with 3 years of managerial experience 

  • Experience in accounting, forecasting and budgeting using complex models 

  • Experience with a US MNC a MUST 

  • Experienced in dealing with China WFOE operation 
  • Strong experience with ERP system and JD Edwards Enterprise One financial management system preferred 

  • Strong leadership capability and excellent process improvement skills 

  • Possession of strategic and organizational agility 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel 

  • Strong English communication skills 

  • Fluency in Mandarin preferred
