Responsibilities

•    Contribute to the development of investment strategies for all Bank's Insurance's shareholders and policyholders funds, in particular the development and review of Strategic Asset Allocation and Target Asset Allocation to optimize the risk/ return profile
•    Participate in the investment strategy and portfolio management by recommending appropriate investment plan, fund structures and investment vehicles to maximize investment efficiency
•    Execute approved investment proposals and hedges in timely manner, with consideration for all appropriate risk controls and processes
•    Build and maintain a sound investment risk framework for all investment risks and ensure corporate governance standards are met
•    Closely lead and monitor the work and performance of fund managers, and develop and coach members of investment team
•    Deliver fair outcomes for customers and stakeholders, and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
•    Manage relationships with fund managers, investment bankers, consultants, Actuary, Finance, Product, Risk, Group Insurance and other areas in relation to the investment matters
•    Keep abreast of global developments in the capital and insurance market and changes in regulatory, actuarial and accounting regime, particularly in relation to insurance investment management
•    Implement and monitor the application of policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

•    University graduate in business administration, investment and finance related discipline; CFA/ Fellow of a recognized actuarial organization is an advantage
•    Strong investment knowledge and practical experience of investment in an insurance context is required
•    Minimum of 10 years' working experience in insurance industry; Working experience with major insurance company is preferred
•    Strong problem solving skills, ability to think "outside the box" and conceptualize solutions to complex issues
•    Innovative and strategic thinker, results oriented
•    Strong analytical and quantitative skills, practical experience using Excel, VBA and stochastic modeling techniques an advantage
•    Excellent communication skills, proficiency in both Chinese and English
•    Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
