We are looking for a Clerk of Works to supervise on site and liaise among contractors for the A&A Works of a Commercial Building in Kowloon (near MTR Station). The successful candidate will be employed on a 18 months contract basis (subject to extension if needed) commencing from June 2020.

Minimum Requirements:

a) Degree in Architecture or Building Studies, Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University/Polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or Technical Institute/College, or equivalent;

b) Seven years’ relevant post-qualification experience [See Note (1)]; and

c) Met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 2’ or above in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (2)].

1. Preference will be given to candidates who possess relevant experience in site supervision of architectural building works.
2. Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]

Duties and responsibilities:

a) supervising contract works, including making and recording site measurements, maintaining site records, and assist the architect to verifying contractors’ claims;

b) monitoring contractual requirements and programmes of building works and procedures such as site safety, environmental protection, etc.;

c) monitoring the workmanship and quality of building works such as material and equipment used on site; and

d) carrying out all such other duties as directed by the architect.
