Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is a statutory body established by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2008, responsible for developing the West Kowloon Cultural District.

 

Job title:            Senior Facilities Officer (Technical Services)

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for Facilities Officer (Technical Services)

Department:       District Facility Services

Duration:            12 months (Subject to renew)

Location:            Tsim Sha Tsui

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking the takeover process of the MEP, BMS, ELV installations and building fabric to ensure the systems are in normal operation and their performance are in accordance with the specification requirements and manufacturers’ performance standards;
  • Assisting the Authority’s Representative with all the testing and commissioning and training for the MEP, BMS and ELV installations with the testing and commissioning consultant;
  • Assisting in buildings takeover process;
  • Conducting the routine inspections and preparing inspection reports;
  • Managing and supervising the outsourced Facility Management service provider(s) to ensure quality services are delivered in compliance with SLA and KPI requirements;
  • Preparing the defect list for any irregularity and non-compliance and assist the District Facilities Services Department in the follow-up with the building contractor during the DLP;
  • Developing a Planned Preventive Maintenance Plan for the building systems;
  • Conducting the routine periodical site inspections, quality assurance and coordination of defect rectification;
  • Monitoring the progress and quality of work executed by contractors/consultants or service provider;
  • Assisting in the management of emergency incidents, attending to any incident in a timely and effective manner; and
  • Performing other duties or ad-hoc tasks as assigned by District Facilities Services Department.

 

You should:

  • possess a Higher Diploma or equivalent in Building Services, Engineering, Facilities Management;
  • have at least 3 years of relevant experience in property/ facilities management with experience in project improvement, renovation, A&A works, event operation and R&M maintenance services;
  • have good knowledge of and practical experience with testing and commissioning, project handover, incident response and other building operation guideline or best practice;
  • be familiar with Building Management System (BMS), Facilities Management System and/ or others facilities management systems preferable; and
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
