We are now inviting applications for the following post in the School of Science & Technology:

Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will mainly assist the research team for a Coastal Wetland Research Project (R&D Project R6322).

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

• Conducting various experiments in the science laboratory and field sites;
• Conducting analysis on samples collected from coastal wetland;
• Conducting routine microorganism isolation and cell culturing;
• Providing support for literature review and data analysis;
• Working with the Principal Investigators/supervisors to prepare report writing; and
• Conducting other research activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.

Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

• A Bachelor’s degree (for Research Assistant) and higher degree (for Research Associate) in Environmental Science/Chemistry/Biology or a related discipline;
• Research experience in proteomics/cell biology/environmental monitoring;
• Strong sense of responsibility, effective organization and interpersonal skills;
• Very good command of English and Chinese;
• Preference will be given to those applicants with technical experience in LC-MSMS / flow-cytometer/ flow injection analyzer; and
• Preference will be given to those who are familiar with statistical tests.

Compensation Package
Competitive compensation package including basic salary and end-of-contract gratuity will be provided to the right candidate.  Fringe benefits such as annual leave, staff development leave, staff learning and development sponsorship and medical & dental benefits will also be provided.
