Location:Sham Shui Po

Duties:

1.To conduct daily safety patrols to ensure compliance of legislations,Safety Management Manual, safety procedures and other in-house occupational safety and health (OSH) requirements;

2. To vet applications for work permits by checking the readiness of safety precautions necessary for hot work, confined space work, petrol boat work, diesel fuel transfer and gasoline transfer prior to work commencement;

3. To conduct spot checks to ensure that OSH measures as stipulated in work permits have been maintained;

4. To check the quantities of dangerous goods in daily basis to ensure that exempt quantities are not exceeded;

5. To assist in implementing safety procedures and work practices to ensure OSH standards are fully complied with; and

6. To assist in safety promotion and other OSH activities

Requirements:

1. A Combined Certificate for Safety and Health Supervisor issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Council, Construction Safety Supervisor Course Certificate issued by the Hong Kong Institute of Construction or equivalent plus one year post-experience, preferably in shipyard industry;

2. And a valid Certificate of Competent Person and Certified Worker of Confined Spaces Operation.
