Job Overview

Software engineer will be in charge of the software development of semiconductor equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible to design the PC- and PLC-based controls system for the semiconductor equipment. The software engineer will learn and gain practical experience in building a successful control system for semiconductor equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and develop software applications (PLC and/or PC) based on given requirements and specifications
• Perform software design, system development, testing, bug fixing, deployment of system applications and documentation development.
• Provide technical assistance to verify and modify PC and PLC program.
• Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software.
• Communicate with Project Manager with the requirements of semiconductor equipment.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in software development.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, Java, Swift, and Ethernet (TCP/IP) plus networking.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Programming Logic Controllers.
• Systematic approach towards problem-solving.
• Effective time management: adherence to schedule and prioritization.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability and desire to learn and support additional toolsets.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Strategic and result-oriented problem solver.
