Job Description

Community Leads are integral to the member experience, sales performance and operational excellence of V-Co spaces, your role is first and foremost to make people feel at home and get members connected. You will be collaborating with key HQ stakeholders to strategically deliver and maintain a program of events that meets the business, members and community needs. 

 

Head of Growth will continually equip you with the skills and training to carry out your responsibilities.

 

Hospitality 

  • Be the first and last point of contact for your building 
  • Cover the front desk during business hours
  • Greet and check-in member guests
  • Greet people who come in for tours, track walk-ins, schedule tours, and send confirmation emails
  • Recommend best practices to your Community Manager for the benefit of the broader company related to member experience, sales, hospitality, operations, events and training
  • Develop relationships with members and proactively gather information on their needs to identify both V-Co and member services that could help them achieve their goals
  • Identify and execute opportunities to connect members with each other (member introductions, event support, email and print communications)
  • Create a welcoming and collaborative community environment amongst our members through events and building relationships between members
  • Solve member-related issues to ensure a cohesive community

Events Management 

  • Event administrations, project planning, ROS, and budgeting 
  • Lead, support and nurture community-led events from start to finish and execute according to requirements, target audience and objectives
  • Come up and contribute with suggestions to enhance curated and community led events success with a focus on connecting members
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers for community initiated / led events
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
  • Coordinate and execute all operations relating to events
  • Support the planning and supervision of educational, professional and personal development events based on members’ needs and requests

Building Management 

  • Enforce a level of uncompromising cleanliness and credibility, including management of the team of facilities and cleaning staff at V-Co to ensure cleaning and pantry responsibilities are executed daily to the highest standard
  • Account management on move-ins and move-outs to minimise member issues
  • Identify issues for escalation to the site management team and document accordingly

Sales

  • Support the touring of new members, walk-ins, and inbounds when required
  • Research of prospective members in the tour pipeline and support follow-up and closing requirements when required
  • Reach out and connect with local organizations, partners and attend networking events to promote V-Co’s community and identify potential members

 

Experience And Requirements

  • Stay behind to coordinate any evening events you are managing
  • Great customer service & salesmanship skills
  • You have the flexibility to think outside the box
  • You have the ability to foresee and identify needs of the team
  • You get into the details and deliver results under highest expectations on time and quality.
  • You’re willing to adjust course when appropriate new ideas or objections are raised.
  • You must present well and communicate effectively to upper management team

Good to have (not compulsory): 

  • Knowledge of KPI’s and marketing techniques for event management.
  • Computer / tech savvy; proficient in MS Office.
  • A team player with leadership skills.
  • Empathetic and able to build strong relationships
