Job Purpose

You will be responsible for analysing and translating business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions which integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.

Accountabilities and activities:

• Perform the necessary leadership, analysis and designs in the development of solutions that deliver capabilities to the business and the IT ecosystem.
• Analyse business drivers to determine corresponding change requirements.
• Design and lead the implementation of solutions based on business requirements and IT strategies.
• Define the principles to guide solution decisions for the business.
• Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities.
• Facilitate and lead to the evaluation and selection of the software product standards, as well as the design of standard software configurations.
• Consult with application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture.
• Work with business users to understand business requirements and help them understand how technology trade-offs influence strategy.
• Define repeatable rules for how to implement solutions in more repeatable or reusable ways such as solution patterns.

To be successful in the position, you should have:

• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of application design and development experience, in particular 3 years of being Solution Architect of medium to large size of project implementation
• Sound knowledge on IT application architecture, design, methodologies across multiple platforms – Microsoft Windows, Linux, Cloud Environment
• Obsession with new technology – such as container technology, machine learning, digital customer engagement
• Solid experience in application architecture modelling, data architecture modelling
• Ability to deliver technical specification and Visio architecture diagram
• With quick learning skill to understand emerging technology
• With vendor management skills to get the best solutions and proposal from vendors
• Solid experience in Agile delivery methodology and DevOps
• Should have good grip on non-functional areas like information security, performance, scalability studies, data privacy etc
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
• With insurance/health care industrial background will be an advantage
• Fluent in English and Cantonese communications
